Grab Some Quality Backlinks Quickly
Recently, I set up a new affiliate website and added it to my Traffic-Bug account as usual to start generating backlinks. Then I realised it was coming up to Christmas so I wanted to grab some quality, relevant backlinks as quickly as possible. The method I always use to accomplish this is by blog commenting.
My only advice here is to keep your comments relevant and whenever possible, informative and not just “great post” “thanks” etc. If you add value then the blog owner will approve your comment and give you a backlink. But that is just a single backlink, if you can discover a relevant blog that’s maybe not too popular (i.e. it doesn’t receive tens of comments a day) and it utilises a widget that shows the last 5 or, even better, 10 comments in a sidebar widget then you will get multiple backlinks from that one blog as your comment/link will appear in the sidebar of every page on that particular blog! As those pages get indexed by the search engines, so does your link.
This is one powerful backlinking strategy. Most of these links will not be persistent because comments are added all the time but once you have found these little gems then there is no reason why you shouldn’t return frequently to make your comments.
If you intend to keep going back to a particular blog then it is a further advantage if they have the “top commentators” widget in their sidebar too. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to achieve that status and make it stick.
So, how do you find these blogs? It couldn’t be easier really, I simply Google for “keywords” “recent comments” and then trawl through the results for relevant blogs/sites. One thing to note, however, before wasting time on creating a comment, make sure that the blog owner allows links in their comment system. You can quickly spot this if the existing commentators names are links. If they aren’t, move on.
When commenting, use your keywords/anchor text as your name and obviously, the url you are promoting as your website.
Using this method, I have literally gathered over 1000 links in a matter of days with between 10-15 comments. Results do vary depending on the blogs you comment on but this method does guarantee backlinks, quickly. And, it doesn’t matter if these links are classed as “no-follow” links because it is the link we’re after, not any link juice from the blog itself.
Happy commenting.
(BTW, we welcome relevant comments here too!)

It’s fine to create websites, but unless you create backlinks your hard work building sites will be for nothing.
