Hi Readers

Thank you for stopping by. My name is Alan, and I am one of the co-owners of this site. In my first post I just want to introduce myself briefly.

I have been involved in the Internet “game” for a long time … TOO long my wife would say. For 9 years I owned and operated my own Internet service provider company, which I sold in 2006. For a long time I was one of the lucky people – the ones that got “paid” to be on the Internet all day.

Selling the ISP  business allowed me to focus entirely on following my passion – which is Internet Marketing.

On this site Kevin and I will share a lot of information about what has worked, and what is working for us. Between the 2 of us we have a lot of websites, and have spent countless hours working on them. So we have a good practical grasp of what it takes to see a modicum of success.

Psychiatrists will often talk about the different stages that a person goes thorough under duress, anger, denial, acceptance, etc. And, to a certain extent the life-cycle of an Internet Marketer does a similar thing. First comes the bewildered staring at the screen wondering where to start, then you go on a scavenger hunt for information, then you give up, then you start looking for the “holy grail” scheme where money falls into your pocket like manna from heaven. At the end of all of this it finally hits home “WOW, I am going to have to do some work”.

I’m afraid so, it involves work :-)

What I do want to share with you now though is – don’t get “bogged” down by all the information that is going to bombard both you and your mailbox.  Stop spending hour after hour in forums and discussions. Do not fork out hundreds of dollars buying up every eBook that you can lay your hands on.

You do not need to be a “guru” before you can start making a little money. All you need is a little knowledge of the basics, a decent (Linux based) web host that provides you with Wordpress (for building your sites), and a few assorted tools (which can mostly be found for free).

We’ll be covering much of this here as we go along.

So – in closing, find your passion, stop procrastinating, take a deep breath – and JUST DO IT !!

I wish you success.
