Amazon on TwitterIn a recent announcement to all Amazon Associates, it appears that Amazon have been extremely beneficial towards their affiliates – by adding the ability to send a shortened affiliate link to Twitter from any of their products that you care to promote.

If you are already logged into your Twitter account, this is a one click process and a fantastic way to promote Amazon products to your followers on Twitter. If you don’t have a Twitter account (or, if you do but don’t have many followers yet) then watch this space for my next post about Twitter.

Just log in to your Amazon Associates account then go to the Amazon website of choice, you will notice you have an Amazon Associates tool bar at the top of the page. On this toolbar there is now a “Share on Twitter” link. All you have to do is search Amazon for the page containing the product(s) you want to promote and click that link. Just how simple is that!

Of course, to make the best success with this, your Twitter followers need to be receptive to the products you are tweeting.

The best way to do this is to create different Twitter accounts for each niche you are promoting, and to make a few but regular informative  tweets about the niche.

Be sure not to just send promotional tweets to your list, or they will soon stop following you. Send informative non-promotional tweets as well.
