How to use WordpressLearning how to use Wordpress will make things a LOT easier for yourself.

Wordpress is a rapid development environment that lets you build your web sites VERY quickly, and is one of the basic skills that you really want to consider mastering as an Internet marketer.

There are 2 versions … a “hosted version” at http://www.wordpress.com .. and a version that you load onto your own server and run from there. The best option by far, for serious business, is to have the version that you host on your own server.

7 Reasons to learn how to use Wordpress -

  1. It is completely FREE. Many web hosts offer it for their clients within their control panel.
  2. It is absolutely trivial to install.
  3. It is quick and easy to learn how to use Wordpress.
  4. There are plugins for just about anything to improve its core function.
  5. Search engines (especially Google) LOVES it.
  6. It has built in functionality to publicize itself via “feeds”, and get traffic.
  7. Thousands of FREE themes that you can download and use.

One of the strong features of Wordpress is that it separates the graphic component of the site from the content component. Your site then comprises 2 distinct parts … the theme, which governs the “look and feel”, the font types and sizes, colors, etc etc … and, the content which is everything that you type onto the site.

This makes it exceptionally easy to change the look of your site at a moments notice. If you find a different theme, and wish to change your site, then it’s a simple task of just uploading the new theme files, and then clicking your mouse to change it. All of your site content remains untouched.

If you are just starting out, and you do not have a web host yet, then be sure to choose one (like Liquidweb who I use, or Servint who Kevin uses) that already provides Wordpress for you to use on your server.

You are going to hear a lot more about Wordpress from us, and this introductory post is merely to provide some solid advice, so I am not going to go into too much specifics. There are thousands of sites around that will show you how to use Wordpress.
